We had an AB amp for ref mon to power 4311 JBLs in studio. For pre recorded material itworked ok, but I wouldn't us it in a live gig the power supply lacks the slew rate. Try to find some used Crown MAs they are worth the weight to carry.

thanks jem , have ordered 5 ab amps ,will be using them on a small touring system in ireland so will have to ensure they go into a good solid rack system , hopefully i wont have too many ghosts cheers jeff

I used them ia an "A" system in 1980 and they were very clean and reliable.(they had a really functional and compact cooling system I remember) We had 30 of them in the system for FOH. Can't say anything past that. I think they started making them...

i have used some AB amps on small gigs for monitor mixes, and front fills. Not sure if i would ever use them on anything if i didnt have to. We had a lot of issues with them, and they were always being repaired

I also run my own pa hire and event company called Venture Sound and events catering for basic pa hire for small corperate events and touring bands.
i have a small touring pa and transport available for use throughout ireland suitable for up to 1000/1500 cap venues .
I do a lot of festival work over the summer and have worked on most of irelands biggest concerts and events ,festivals over the past 10 years or so.
I am willing to tour and have worked in most aspects and fields (some very muddy ) of the industry.
I make it loud in a nice way.

looking for some feedback on a company call ab amps in roseville ca.
