Go after editorials first. That's the best way to get into the big shows by major touring acts where you live, and make a little money off of. It's nearly impossible to live off the income you'll make from it though. So dont put all your eggs in t...

Get out there and network, hand out business cards and get your portfolio up online. Seriously, its how I got my first gig. :)
There seems to be a few people (including myslef) who are highly interested and in love with live photography, but don't know how to start getting paid to do this.
Any tips from you seasoned professionals?

- ya I've done a few tours with Shout out out out out in the USA. Fun times! They did the v-fest in baltimore last year & it was so much fun. Also good times in NYC & Boston

This is a tough business. most of what you learn in school toss out the door. You will learn more hands on. I have been doing this on and off for the past 30 years. Feel free to ask questions. There is no such thing as a dumb question.
I just got back from doing a new years gig In Tucson ,Arz
since my divorce I am close to my Kids So I took a Broadcast Engineering job. These days I do flyout gigs on weekends. I am more relaxed when Im actually doing a show.

Very nice City. I was up there a few years back for the North XNorth East festival. I have Mixed at the club called
"REVERB" it had a decent sound system. with a soundcraft series2 console.
the house guy there was cool.( I forgot his name).

He is a great guy. the Entire band is great.
